In the Palace of the King is a 1923 silent film historical drama based on the novel by F. Marion Crawford and was directed by Emmett J. Flynn. A previous silent version had been made and released in 1915 by the Essanay company. [1] Prior to the films the story saw Broadway in a 1900 production starring Viola Allen and her father C. Leslie Allen. This is a lost film.[2]
